AGRIA OF VOLOS

Starting from Volos and following the superbly beautiful coastline of the Pagasitikos Gulf, the road takes us first of all to Agria (8Km). There are lovely little pensions right on the beach, tavernas and night clubs where the visitor will find that nights are as delightful as days. Resuming our trip, we cross the Bridge of Vrychona. The old railway bridge situated alongside the main road is considered a national monument, for it is the first concrete bridge, built in 1917,
in Greece. |

Now completely rebuilt, it carries the famous Pilion railway tracks locomotive train engines. Our trip takes us to Kato Lehonia (11 km, alt. 40m) with its exuberant vegetation, where in the springtime the air is filled with the heady perfume of flowers. Open-air stands, here are almost always loaded wiht home-grown fruit and flowers. Our indoor and outdoor cultivation facilities are situated here in the village of Kato Lehonia. It is obvious from all the description so far, that except from bussines, there are a lot of activities here for tourism, sight seeing and entertainment.
